Biographie de Richard Jenkins:
Né à DeKalb, en Illinois, Richard Jenkins possède plusieurs titres de gloire depuis qu'il a commencé à jouer en 1980. Malgré tout, il est strictement un comédien des rôles de soutien.
Après son premier long métrage, The Falls, une production de science-fiction, l'acteur a également paru dans plusieurs dramatiques de télévision. En 1985, il est revenu aux long métrages, jouant des rôles de second plan dans Silverado, Witches of Eastwick et Little Nikita.
De 1985 à 1994, trouvant la télévision plus payante, l'acteur a passé la majeure partie de son temps à jouer des rôles dans des dramatiques ou des miniséries. Il a fini par trouver des rôles principaux: Into Thin Air, Death on Everest, And the Band Played On et The Boys Next Door.
Au cours des années récentes, il a tenu des rôles de soutien dan des films à faible budget tels que Flirting with Danger (mise en nomination en vue du prix Independent Spirit Award). Également: Absolute Power, There's Something About Mary, The Mod Squad, Snow Falling on Cedars, Random Hearts, Me, Myself and Irene et The Kid.
