Each June executives from agencies around the world gather at Cannes in the South of France for the International Advertising Festival. The Cannes Lions are the industry's most prestigious awards,and they constitute the advertising industry's largest and most important annual event.

The result of this event is a compilation of outstanding commercials from all over the world, chosen by a jury comprised of advertising executives from countries including Australia, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Great Britain, Italy, Japan, Spain, Sweden and the U.S.
