Synopsis

Josh is a regular teenager living in an industrial suburb, in between the high school, the skate park and the mine. One morning, he finds his friend Thomas dead. It is quickly established that three other kids have taken their own life, eliminating Josh from their pact. The lone survivor, Josh cuts himself off from the world around him. Only Mia, ex-girlfriend of one of the dead boys, and Thomas' father are able to reach him. Some answers will surface, others will not.

Josh's story is not a moral tale, nor a desperate social comment; it is the story of a survivor. It's the portrait of a bunch of kids, excessive beings, at once fragile and invincible, lucid and unaware, morbid and idealist. A humble look at their vertiginously dark side and their blinding light.

Canadian Connection: Filmed in Quebec. Many cast members are Canadian.
