Résumé:

In a Belgium steel town, 20-year-old Charles (Jérémie Renier) gets by with panhandling and petty thievery. When his girlfriend (Deborah François) gives birth, Charles has no idea how to cope with fatherhood, choosing instead to sell the baby. As usual, the Dardennes show their mastery of small-scale realism, with car engines and honking horns serving as the score.
