Résumé:

Bella is a New York waitress. Now 35 years of age, she wants to find her soul mate and settle down with a family. Her current relationship with a theatre director is a dead end, so Bella's mother sets her up with a taxi driver who is an aspiring writer. She tells him she's not interested in kids, thinking her true desires would scare him off, only to find he's taking in his kids from a previous marriage. Meanwhile, at the restaurant where she works, Paul, a regular customer who is a widower, is trying to court Emily (a widow), but she mistrusts his character.
