Résumé:

It's 1972 and Shane Bradley (Luke Kirby) is a 28-year-old underachiever, obsessed with his own luck and fortune. Shane's life moves from bad to worse when his dream girl, Margaret (Sarah Polley), leaves for a romantic trip to England with her old boyfriend. Lost and discouraged, Shane turns to his gambling buddies to lift his spirits. Quickly, a few innocent bets get out of control, leaving Shane spiraling deeper into debt. He soon finds himself in the hands of a merciless loan shark.

In a desperate attempt to raise enough money and save his own life, Shane turns to his close friend, Andrew (Jed Rees), who comes up with an ingenious plan to make some easy money. Using the now famous Canada/Russia hockey series to book bets, Shane and his friends find themselves courting luxury, fortune and fame. But will the intensity of the moment, greed, and selfishness destroy their luck forever?
