Synopsis

Three elite climbers — Conrad Anker, Jimmy Chin and Renan Ozturk — attempted in 2008 to climb the 21,000-foot Shark's Fin on Mount Meru, one of the most coveted prizes in the high stakes game of Himalayan big wall climbing. Due to a massive storm that showered the mountain with at least 10 feet of snow, their attempt was not successful.

Located at the headwaters of the sacred Ganges River in Northern India, the Shark’s Fin has seen more failed attempts over the past 30 years than any other ascent in the Himalayas. In 2011, the three lifelong friends decide to undertake the trek once more, under even more extraordinary circumstances than the first time around.
