Paris Follies

Synopsis

For years, smart and beautiful Brigitte has worked alongside her husband, the taciturn Xavier, on their cattle farm in Normandy. They married straight out of high school and their adult son has moved away. Eager to escape her boring routine, Brigitte accepts a party invitation from the neighbors. There, she becomes infatuated with Stan, a younger, attractive man. On the pretense of seeing a medical specialist in Paris, she goes to the city to meet him, but she quickly realizes Stan is nothing but a cad. Booked into a hotel, she makes the most of her visit, going shopping and sightseeing before bumping into an attractive businessman named Jesper, who’s staying at the same hotel. They have a brief affair and afterwards, Brigitte goes home, unaware that Xavier followed her and monitored her from afar, convinced that his marriage is now over.
