Résumé:
Loosely based on Washington Irving's 18th-century horror tale, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, Burton's movie follows a mild-mannered detective named Ichabod Crane (Johnny Depp) in 1799, who is sent to the small town of Sleepy Hollow to investigate a series of supernatural murders.
The residents believe it's the work of a homicidal ghost, (a.k.a. the Headless Horseman) that has returned from his grave. With a history of sorrow caused by his mothers belief in magic, Ichabod is quick to ignore the mystical reasons, and turns to more scientific methods to explain the killers madness. Through the investigation, Crane becomes entangled with the fair Katrina Van Tassle (Christina Ricci), the daughter of a rich local.
