Résumé:

A package courier travels around the shady city of Shanghai delivering his packages. He is asked by an alcohol smuggler to deliver his niece (Zhou) to her aunt. The girl and courier grow fond of each other. But when she thinks that he has kidnapped her for ransom, she jumps into the Suzhou river. Now he is suspected of murdering her.
