Résumé:

Shortly after his arrest, Guido Carboni, a Montreal Mafia accountant, dies from poisoning in the arms of Lieutenant Prudent Poirier. Convinced that the naive and bumbling policeman has been entrusted by the deceased with a secret that could bring down the foreign leaders of the criminal network, Moulin, leader of the French secret service, sends his best agent, Mohammed "Ventura" Choukroune, to Canada. An excellent gunman, fearsome pugilist, great charmer and able to speak many languages, the spy is assigned the task of posing as Poirier's intern.
