Résumé:

Claire Holloway (Gabrielle Anwar) is a young, sophisticated and very successful author of a series of children’s books, but her personal life is not at all a children’s story. She’s haunted by nightly visions of violence and death–tortured by a darkness that seems to seep out from hidden corners of her subconscious.

Claire’s doctor counsels her to take a sabbatical, and Claire hopes that the peaceful country Rose Marsh Farmhouse retreat she rents in the remote countryside will clear her head.

As Claire starts to unwind in the idyllic setting, a series of escalating and unexplained occurrences convince her that she’s plunged into an even more troubled universe, one where it’s impossible to distinguish between reality and illusion, a world controlled by the ghost of a ten-year-old girl…
