Résumé:
In an island village, 10-year-old Simone, who has been blinded due to a serious disease, is living with her father. Depressed from the loss of his wife, Simone encouages him to marry Céline. The marriage plans are crushed, however, when Céline falls in love with another, which not only saddens Simone and her father, but the other villagers as well.
