Consisting of interviews with the people who were closest to the legendary hard-living musician, the film builds a compelling narrative drawn from first-hand testimonials. The film examines Johnny’s life starting as a founding member of the influential New York Dolls, the birth of the punk scene with The Heartbreakers, following with such bands as Gang War and The Oddballs.
