William Baldwin

William Baldwin Biography:

WILLIAM BALDWIN

Date of birth: February 21, 1963

William Baldwin, who looks remarkably like his famous brother Alec, studied political science at the State University of New York and worked on Capitol Hill before following in his brother's footsteps, alongside his two other brothers Daniel and Stephen. He debuted as a platoon soldier in Born on the Fourth of July (1989) and made the leap to romantic lead in Ron Howard's Backdraft (1991), playing Kurt Russell's brother.

Although he hasn't achieved Alec's A-list status, William, sometimes known as Billy, has worked steadily over the years, appearing in a variety of films such as Sliver (1993), Fair Game (1995), Shattered Image (1998), Primary Suspect (2000), Say Nothing (2001), Red Rover (2003) and Art Heist (2004). Ironically, although he won an MTV Movie Award as Most Desirable Male for his work in Sliver, he also received a Razzie Award as Worst Actor for the same role.

Baldwin, who once worked as a male model, has been married to Chynna Phillips since 1995. They are the parents of two children.
