ROBERT HOFFMAN

Date of Birth: September 21, 1980

Growing up in Florida, Robert Hoffman started taking dance lessons when he was in kindergarten after being inspired by Michael Jackson's "Thriller" video. He later attended a fine-arts high school and became a member of Ballet South, headed by American Ballet Company legend Wes Chapman.

On the big screen, he began as a dancer in movies such as From Justin to Kelly (2003), Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights (2004) and Coach Carter (2005).

His first major acting role was in She's the Man (2006) opposite Amanda Bynes and Channing Tatum, and his first starring role in a major motion picture was in Step Up 2 the Streets (2008). On television, Hoffman played Adam Putnam in six episodes of the Fox drama Vanished and has made guest appearances on American Dreams, Quintuplets, CSI: Miami, MTV's Short Circuitz and Campus Ladies. From 2005 to 2006 he starred on MTV's hit improv series Wild 'n Out, produced by Nick Cannon.

Hoffman has also filmed a role in Kids in America (2008), co-starring Topher Grace and Michelle Trachtenberg. In addition to acting, he has worked as a choreographer on a number of projects, including You Got Served (2004).

In his spare time, he enjoys making short films.
