While in New York, in addition to performing the lead in the show every night, she filmed a video blog called Simply Red for the show. She also played a role in a production of Ragtime with Lea Salonga, and workshop productions of Home the Musical and Melissa Arctic.

In 2014, Lilla made her feature film debut playing Little Red Riding Hood in the movie version of Stephen Sondheim's Broadway hit Into the Woods. Since then she has completed a role in the indie film Little Miss Perfect (2015).
