Kate Corbett

Date of Birth: July 5, 1992

Born in Holyrood, Newfoundland, Kate Corbett developed an affinity for acting at an early age. She joined a summer theater as a child, nurtured her passion for the craft and eventually followed her dream of becoming an actress to Toronto once she graduated high school. She attended Ryerson University, where she studied theater, and further refined her talent at the Canadian Film Centre's Acting Conservatory.

She first appeared on screen in the short film How Eunice Got Her Baby in 2009 and followed that up with the role of Avalon Keller in the TV series Family Biz.

In 2011, she appeared in the series InSecurity and earned wide exposure in the 2012 series The L.A. Complex.

Empire of Dirt was Kate's first feature film. The 2013 picture about three generations of First Nations women dealing with their troubled pasts was shot in Ontario. She also starred in the dramedy The Animal Project in the same year.

Kate returned to TV, appearing in Call Me Fitz, Republic of Doyle and 2015's Odd Squad.

From 2014 to 2015, Kate acted in the popular fantasy series Lost Girl and took a part in Fargo as well.

Kate can be seen in the comedy The Steps as Tammy. She stars alongside a list of well-respected actors including James Brolin, Jason Ritter, Christine Lahti and Emmanuelle Chriqui. The film screened at the 2015 Toronto International Film Festival.

In 2016, she also appeared on the W Network series The Good Witch.
