Xolo Maridueña

Xolo Maridueña Biography:

Born in Los Angeles, California, Xolo Maridueña was born with natural talent that has shined since the start of his career. Coming from Cuban, Mexican, and Ecuadorian descent, he grew up a normal life with four sisters and a big family.

His first onscreen job came in 2012 when he appeared on the TV series Parenthood as Victor Graham, a role he kept until 2015 when the show ended. A year after his career started, he made his film debut as Manny in Dealin’ With Idiots (2013), and went on to guest on shows such as Major Crimes, Rush Hour, and Twin Peaks until 2017.

His first starring role came with the show Cobra Kai as Miguel Diaz. A sequel to the original Karate Kid (1984) film, the show follows Daniel LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence as martial-arts rivals again, decades after their tournament. Xolo  has appeared in five seasons of the hit Netflix series so far. 

Xolo joined the animated series Victor and Valentino as Andres, voicing the character from 2019 to 2022. At the same time, he played Zaid in the animated show Cleopatra in Space from 2019 until 2021.

He won his first feature film starring role when he was cast as Jamie Reyes, the star of the DC film Blue Beetle (2023). The role marks Xolo as the first Latin actor to star in a live-action superhero film.

Despite his blossoming career, Xolo continues to embrace his nerdy side whenever he has the chance. A huge fan of gaming, he has a special love for the classic game Dungeons and Dragons. He loves to play the game at home, but also attends local meet-ups to experience the game with fellow fans.
