Synopsis

While working the night shift at a hotel reception desk, Mia, 15, checks in an intoxicated and aggressive high-ranking middle-aged politician, as well as Wen and Xin, two 12-year-old girls who are staying in the room next to his. Through the surveillance TV, Mia witnesses the man forcing himself into the girls’ room and records him on her cell phone.

The next day, the authorities are notified, but the police commissioner stagnates the investigation by blaming the negligent parents. Convinced of the politician’s guilt, Hao, the lawyer in charge of the case, tries to get Mia to reveal what she knows. Under pressure and afraid she’ll be fired from her job, which she desperately needs, Mia keeps quiet.

Meanwhile, Wen, after suffering physical and emotional abuse at the hands of her divorced mother, seeks refuge with her father.
