Synopsis

An intimate portrait of Malala Yousafzai, who, as a 15-year-old teenager, was shot in the head by the Taliban for speaking out on behalf of girls' education in Pakistan's Swat Valley.

The film depicts Malala at home with her parents and brothers, and shows what she went through directly following the attack. Although she has permanent nerve damage, Malala continues her studies and travels the world as an educational activist. She has emerged as a leading campaigner for the rights of children worldwide and in December 2014, became the youngest-ever Nobel Peace Prize Laureate.
