Heal the Living

Synopsis

After a night with his girlfriend, Simon leaves to surf with two friends on the Normandy coast. On the way back, they have a terrible accident that leaves the young man brain dead. The doctors at Le Havre Hospital have no choice but to talk with Simon’s traumatized parents about the issue of organ donation.

Meanwhile, Claire, helped by her two adult sons, settles in Paris near the Pitie Salpêtrière hospital. For the past three years she has been suffering from degenerative heart disease, which has forced her to give up her job as a musician in an orchestra. The doctor who attends to her, having noticed the deterioration of her condition, sees only one solution: a heart transplant.
