Freshly retired, Marilou and her husband Philippe plan to live out their remaining years in peaceful bliss under the Portuguese sun. But their move is postponed due to alarming news about the state of health of Philippe's mother. They’re also concerned about their daughter, who’s miserable because she’s raising her two young children with a kind but irresponsible computer scientist. All of this contributes to delaying the couple's exodus. Added to these obstacles is the incompetence of Marilou's cousin, a real estate agent responsible for the sale of their apartment and the purchase of the residence in Portugal.
