Synopsis
In several towns in the Portneuf region of Quebec, citizens' committees are preparing to welcome Syrian refugee families. In Saint-Ubalde, a group of volunteers cheerfully organize the celebrations for the upcoming arrival of Evlyne, Hanni and their baby Tamitta. However, their enthusiasm is blunted by the slow administrative process, particularly that of Immigration Canada. Over the course of several months, filmmakers
Nadine Beaudet and
Christian Mathieu Fournier document the efforts of these patient residents from Saint-Ubalde and future hosts of war refugees.
