Synopsis

Mia Owen (Daniah De Villiers), 10, has her life turned upside down when her family decides to leave their home in London to manage a lion farm in South Africa.

When a beautiful white lion, Charlie, is born, Mia find happiness again as she develops a close attachment to the wild cub. After three years, Mia's life is rocked once again when she uncovers an upsetting secret kept hidden by her father (Langley Kirkwood)—he's planning to sell Charlie to be killed by trophy hunters.

Devastated by the thought that Charlie's life is in danger, Mia decides to run away, leaving the farm and her family behind. The two set off on an epic adventure across the wild African savanna in search for another land where Charlie can live out his life safe and free.
