Synopsis

Bea (Charlotte Salisbury), 13, lives in Toronto, but when her father Scotty (Christopher Bolton) inherits a diner in Northern Ontario, he decides to take Bea and her mother Ally (Delphine Roussel) there for the summer.

When some girls venture into her father's establishment to get some ice cream, Bea meets Kate (Lucinda Armstrong Hall), an outgoing girl her own age. The two become best friends, despite Bea's initial shyness and Kate's brash ways. However, Kate begins to shame Bea into doing things that go against her conscience.
