Synopsis
For the past 12 years, the winner of the prestigious Scripps National Spelling Bee has been an Indian American competitor. Spelling the Dream follows four competitors as they prepare for the upcoming tournament, putting in an incredible amount of work to learn thousands of words in the English dictionary.
From studying in their living room, straight through to the big day, the film shows us the reasons for the incredible winning streak and what it means for the Indian American community.
