Synopsis

The story of two Manhattan restaurants: Gino's, an Upper East Side fixture for more than 60 years, with star-studded clientele like Frank Sinatra and Sofia Loren, and Pescatore, a Midtown staple since 1993, now facing stiff competition from newer restaurants in its trendy neighborhood.

After taking over Pescatore, new owner Charles Devigne decided to borrow one of Gino's most iconic features, and this controversial decision inspired director Michael Sparaga to further explore what exactly makes an everyday restaurant into an institution.
