Wild Grass

Synopsis

Wild Grass is a story about three young men try to get meaning from their lives. They encounter despair in the course, yet when they lose the courage to live on, the hope arrives again for them. They never know each other, yet their lives are intertwined. They become each other's hope and savior.

Three main characters are all from the small town, struggling to make a decent living in big city. They are hurt and humiliated there, but stick to their dreams nevertheless. Wild Grass centers on the undetermined fate of young men in the rapid changing Chinese society. It is a time of uncertainty. It is a time of hope and disillusion.

It is a time of everything collapse and rebuilt. Like so many people at that time, with hope and love, three characters make their way from small town to big city, clashed dramatically with their surroundings and era. Wild Grass is a reflect of that era.
