With WWII in full swing, most baseball players were drafted, so several owners formed the All American Girls Baseball League In an attempt to save the sport. Nearly 50 years later, a star player, Dottie Hinson, makes a journey to the Baseball Hall of Fame and reminisces when she and her little sister, Kit, joined the team. Memories include the hardships and difficulties they had to establish themselves with baseball professionals, the public and each other as they lived the lives of female athletes in the 1940's.
