Synopsis

Sophie Poncet, a magistrate in Toulon, questions Juliet Larrain, accused of abusing her lover’s weakness, who then committed suicide. During the interrogation, the judge realizes that this woman is none other than the biological mother of the boy she adopted 14 years earlier.

Back at home, the judge confides in Olivier, her lawyer husband, who immediately advises her to withdraw from the case and to tell the truth to their son. Sophie refuses. Olivier then decides in secret to find Juliet and help her, at least financially, without revealing who he really is. Juliette quickly discovers his identity and to confuse things further, books a trip on the same cruise ship as Sophie’s family.
