Black Beauty (Disney+)

Synopsis

A wild young mustang born free in the American West is rounded up and taken away from her family. The mare is brought to Birtwick Stables, a sanctuary where horses are trained before going on to new homes. Jo Green (Mackenzie Foy), a teenager who lost her family, lives there with her uncle. She choses the name Black Beauty for the mare and they soon forge an unbreakable bond. Jo begins to learn to love again.

When Black Beauty is adopted, it breaks Jo's heart all over again. Against the advice of her uncle, she decides that she has to get the mare back.

This is a modern day reimagining of Anna Sewell's classic novel, Black Beauty.
