Synopsis

Recently dumped by his wife, Antoine, a construction worker, finds refuge with his sister Agathe, who also has an unhappy love life. While driving to Noirmoutier, where they grew up, the brother and sister pass by the former home of their grandparents, which brings back the painful memory of their mother drowning thirty years earlier.

Antoine decides to find out more about what happened, suspecting that the truth surrounding her death has been concealed. He embarks on a personal investigation, complicated by his father’s silence, Agathe’s decision to not be involved and his grandmother’s obstructive ways.
