Synopsis

Two Canadian soldiers wait, confined inside a cramped underground bunker in northern Quebec. Their mission: to launch a nuclear missile in an attack on the USSR, even though the Cold War has been over for 25 years. An extrovert who suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder since his return from Rwanda, Tremblay has a secret stock of alcohol, cigarettes and marijuana to lessen the stress of the six-month stay. Gagnon, an introvert, takes his duty more seriously, although he’s sad about being separated from his daughter. Gagnon eventually is won over by Tremblant’s nonchalant attitude. So much so that after the holidays, when an unexpected incident occurs, they’re taken by surprise.
