Synopsis

Four generations of the Blanchard family live in a popular neighborhood in Longueuil. While his wife Micheline secretly plays surrogate mother to their daughter Helene's baby, gas station owner Fernand Blanchard runs up against their son-in-law Eric, a shady promoter who wants to take over the station in order to facilitate development projects and luxury homes. While Helen's brother Henry, an ex-boxer, takes care of terminally ill wife, their son Alexis, 15, tries to support the family through his "ecological" entrepreneurial skills. All under the watchful eye of patriarch Honoré Blanchard, a retired fisherman who used to make extra money by disposing of corpses.
