Synopsis

Alice is called on to replace a recently deceased mechanic on the container ship Fidelio. On board, she finds Gaël, a former boyfriend who is now the ship’s captain, as well as the diary of the deceased, who was a man unhappy in love.

The young woman fends off advances from the all male crew, made up of many foreign workers. During the journey from Marseille to the port of Gdansk in the Baltic Sea, Alice, who at first is cold towards Gaël, finds herself remembering the good times and is drawn back to him, despite the fact that she has a fiancé back at home.
