Synopsis

Summer 1969. Frisson (Antoine Olivier Pilon), 12, would love to see his idol, Jimi Hendrix, perform at Woodstock. His electrician father promises to take him, but when he dies accidentally, it changes everything. Frisson's grief-stricken mother begins spending her days at the cemetery and his big sister, a waitress at a French Fries kiosk, plans to leave home with her secret boyfriend. Frisson decides he's going to Woodstock anyway, and he's determined to get Hendrix's autograph. He tries in vain to convince his father's friend Tom Faucher (Guillaume Lemay-Thivierge), who's also a big Hendrix fan, to take him on his motorcycle. He then involves his best friend Thibault (William Monette) in various schemes to raise the sum needed to make the trip. Meanwhile, Frisson develops a crush on his new schoolteacher, which keeps him from responding to the advances of Chantal (Alice Morel Michaud), a girl his own age.
