Synopsis
Antoine is diagnosed with partial deafness. This high school history teacher suddenly understands why Claire, who lives downstairs, blames him for the noise coming from his apartment. He heard nothing. Thanks to hearing aids made to measure for him, Antoine's life changes overnight. He even comes to sympathize with Claire, by first approaching her little girl, who has shut herself up in silence since the death of her father. The divorced teacher and the inconsolable widow come to enjoy each other’s company and even fall in love. However, Claire, who was staying in Paris with her sister, decides to leave to return to settle in the provinces.
