Synopsis

Thomas, five, and Patrick, three, are removed from their mother, Julie, by social services, which considers the young woman to be too irresponsible to take care of them. Surrounded by the love of their adoptive parents, the two brothers react to the situation in extremely different ways. Contrary to Patrick, Thomas is aggressive, obsessed with the identity of his biological mother. As he approaches adulthood, he finally summons the courage to go find her.

The young woman, who's now raising an eight-year-old boy on her own, coldly greets this reminder of her painful past. However, Thomas involves himself more and more in her life, to the point where he neglects his job as a mechanic and forsakes his adoptive mother, whose husband is ill. The complicated relationship between the tormented young man and his biological mother will have dramatic consequences.
