Jakob The Liar

Synopsis

In Nazi occupied Poland, poor Jewish café owner Jakob (Robin Williams) overhears a forbidden radio news bulletin signaling Soviet military victories against German forces. To raise the spirits of those in the ghetto, Jakob relays fictitious news bulletins about Allied advances against the Nazis.

When the Germans catch wind of the mythical radio, a search begins for the man who operates it.
