Montreal, 1940. While WWII rages across the Atlantic, Pierre Sauvageau, 22, dreams of enlisting. But his twin sister Berthe, a paraplegic since birth who’s madly in love with him, emotionally blackmails him to stay.
He rejects her advances and falls in love with Marguerite, the girlfriend of Pierre’s best friend Ollier, who has no desire to enlist. However, at the same time, Pierre is haunted by an unwelcome fantasy of Berthe.
