Synopsis

Since the rules of world trade have been put in place, the fragile equilibrium of developing countries continues to be undermined. The free movement of agricultural products is forcing millions of small farmers to gradually lose control of their own land.

Traveling across the planet, from India to Brazil via the Democratic Republic of Congo, Malawi, Switzerland and Quebec, filmmaker Mathieu Roy documents the devastating effects of industrial agriculture on the lives of hundreds of millions of people.
