Synopsis
Set in 19th century Quebec, Yvonne, a 20-year-old woman, is left in charge of her younger sister, Helene following the death of their mother. Instead of being a slave to domestic work, Yvonne leaves the home to live in the forest. She meets Charles who evokes her carnal desires. But Yvonne had promised her sister that she would enter a convent, sending her mind and emotions at war with one another.
