Synopsis
Two Arkansas boys, Ellis (Tye Sheridan) and his friend Neckbone (Jacob Lofland), find a fugitive (Matthew McConaughey) named Mud hiding out on an island and form an unlikely friendship.
Mud regales them with fantastic stories about his crimes and tells them bounty hunters are after him. All he wants to do is reunite with his soulmate, Juniper (Reese Witherspoon), and the boys agree to help him.
