Synopsis

Flower, a 17-year-old mother of Haitian origin, is in an abusive relationship with the father of her child. She dreams of getting out of the multi-ethnic Montreal ghetto where she lives, and where street gangs rule. At the other end of the spectrum, Dickens, 16, has one thing in mind: to belong to the gang controlled by his older brother. However, his brother is protective of Dickens and refuses to let him join.

Recently released from prison, Kadhafi, a 26-year-old rapper and former street gang member, wants to reconnect with his wife and son and make a living with his music. Despite help from a good Samaritan who gives him a job, his past catches up with him. Suzie, a white stripper, falls for a black gangster who treats her like a princess, while she also has feelings for a white man who seems to ignore her long absences. The fate of these individuals will intersect.
