Synopsis
Upon learning that Marc Roger has undertaken a journey on foot from Saint-Malo in Brittany to Bamako in Mali, documentary filmmaker Catherine Hébert, camera in hand, joins him on his arrival in Morocco. While filming the storyteller as he returns to the city where he was born, the filmmaker meets Moroccans, Mauritanians, Senegalese and Malians, who express a strong desire to drop everything and go north to make their fortunes. Their stories inspire the director to question the reasons for her never-ending travel, far from her Quebec home..
