Synopsis

Murielle, a young teacher, and Mounir, a medical student of Moroccan descent, are in love and decide, despite a lack of resources, to get married. Mounir’s adoptive father Dr. André Pinget tells the couple they can live with him and gets the young man a job as an assistant in his office. Over the years, the trio’s relationships become strained. Murielle begins to feel suffocated by her role as a mother and hates having to depend on the doctor for their home. She falls into a dark depression that will lead her to do something she won’t be able to undo.
