Synopsis
When General Campbell's (James Cromwell) daughter Elisabeth is found raped and murdered on a Georgia military base, investigating officer Paul Brenner (John Travolta) sets out to find the truth. He discovers that seven years earlier, Elisabeth was gang-raped when she was a cadet at West Point. At the time, her father asked her to forget what had happened out of concern for her reputation, but she felt he had turned his back on her.
His response drove her into a double life in which she performed her duties by day as an officer, but at night, participated in sadomasochistic sex. Following her death, Brenner finds evidence that implicates top military brass.
