Synopsis

A sultry Spanish film star (Penélope Cruz) and an eclectic cast of actors must rescue long-time friend Blas Fontiveros (Antonio Resines) after he is kidnapped in the middle of the biggest American-Spanish co-production of the year, during the Golden Age of the Hollywood studio system.

Set in the 1950s, this comedy brings back many of the characters from the award-winning and critically-acclaimed film The Girl of Your Dreams. Penélope Cruz returns to her role as famous movie star Macarena Granada, who flees the glitz and glamour of 1950s Hollywood to return to her roots in Spain where she has signed on to star in an epic film about Queen Isabella of Spain, accompanied by blacklisted screenwriter Jordan Berman (Mandy Patinkin) and director John Scott (Clive Revill).
