Synopsis
Aging French movie star Fabienne (Catherine Deneuve) has just released her memoir, and her daughter Lumir (Juliette Binoche) returns home to Paris with her American husband (Ethan Hawke) and their daughter to celebrate.
The reunion turns sour as Lumir realizes the memoir has spun her past into a new, more fairy tale type of story to sell to the masses. Set against the background of Fabienne’s new role in a sci-fi film, Lumir and her mother work towards a possible reconciliation.
